October 14 - Jammed Pack Day

Grandpa and R. We packed a lot into this day.
We ate an early lunch at the restaurant where I worked
in high school and college. Then we visited a glass shop
where a demonstration happened to be going on for a group
of homeschooled Mennonite kids. The owner was showing
the kids how he "blows" a glass vase.

We met my ex-stepmother at a local apple orchard. We couldn't
find any apples, but the girls picked out a small pumpkin. And they
LOVED this teeter totter ... they were belly laughing like none other!

R loved holding and petting this kitty.

The girls decided they wanted a kitty after holding and
feeding this one. They came up with a plan ... they are
going to purchase kitty food and toys and offer their
kitty babysitting services for $8/hour. They are quite
the entrepreneurs!
On our way back to the farm, we stopped to visit
a high school friend of mine.

Then we met S, her honey, and his two boys at the local
pizza joint. We had SOOO much fun and laughed a lot!
